55 Sad Songs for When You Need a Good Cry to Release Your Pain

Life is a rollercoaster and painful things will happen to all of us, this is normal (unfortunately). Sad songs are created by amazing artists who often feel a lot of pain themselves and can translate that pain into a beautiful emotional song.

Because we go through all those sad events in our lives, we need time to grieve for a while before we can get back up and feel better again. We can’t avoid these negative things and the feelings they provoke, but we can learn how to deal with them.

When you are feeling bad and you just want some room to cry and feel all your feelings, it might be a good idea to put on some emotional tunes to accompany you. Sad songs can make you cry even more because some of them might exactly hit your sore spots, but this isn’t a bad thing per se.

Letting your emotions run wild and free for a while can be a good thing. Feeling all your feelings and allowing them to be there is important to process your pain. So let’s see which sad songs might help you be with your emotions.

Conclusion

I think listening to these songs can be very powerful and helpful for a lot of people, but not for everyone!

Important to note though is that when you feel really really sad, like more depressed and maybe even suicidal, please contact somebody and don’t keep listening to these emotional songs. They might only make you feel worse when you are already struggling for a long time.

These songs are meant to be listened to when you feel sad, have a good cry to them a few times, and when you can release your tears, move on, and take steps forward to feel better again. Don’t keep wallowing in them for weeks on end because this isn’t a healthy thing to do and will not help you move forward.

Have a good cry to these beautiful sad songs but pick yourself back up after it or have someone around to help you further.

Lots of love to all the people who are grieving, feeling sad, or going through a rough time in life. I hope you like the songs as much as I do and that you feel better soon! Big hug xoxo
