Here’s a list of 13 binge-worthy Netflix shows to watch when it’s a rainy day or just whenever you feel like doing nothing.

I love coming home from work to chill and watch some Netflix shows. Over the years I have chosen my all-time favorite shows which I have watched multiple times (over 10 times each at least!).
My All Time Favorites:
- Friends
- The Big Bang Theory
- The Office
Now let’s give you some recommendations. I have watched them all!
1. The Big Bang Theory
I wasn’t hooked from the first episode, but give it a few episodes and you will fall in love with the humor and quirkiness of this show! Certainly, a Netflix show to watch!
Watching the highly educated nerds (Sheldon, Leonard, Raj, Howard) living their day-to-day lives while meeting some girls (Penny, Bernadette, Amy) who become part of their friend group is so much fun. I personally think they are hilarious all in their own ways, so for a good laugh, I would recommend this show.
I also like the fact that there is a scientific and academic background. It can make you feel a bit smarter when you’re just watching Netflix.
They even teach you stuff! Let your inner nerd break free!

2. Workin’ Moms
Even when you’re not a mom it is really a must-watch when you want to laugh.
It’s a very funny show about a group of friends who are also mothers living their everyday lives. The mothers are actually very cool and hilarious women who I would love to have in my group of friends!
You see the daily hurdles they face as mothers/wives/friends and at times the shit show that life can be. Very relatable show for women who are mothers but also for those who aren’t, hilarious!
I always look forward to new releases and binge-watching it as soon as it is available on Netflix.

3. The Office
This one needs some time to become a true fan. Right now, I absolutely adore it.
I have to admit that the first episodes are a bit of a struggle but if you keep watching I promise that it is worth it!
The show is about an office (surprise surprise) and all the people who work there. It’s a bit old school, it looks older than the new shows they release on Netflix in 2023 but there is something very comforting about this show. When the intro music is playing I always feel a bit happy as if I want to do a little dance. The humor is very dry and all the characters are so unique, at the end of the show it’s like you almost know them personally.
So glad I convinced myself to keep watching it in the beginning and I hope you do the same! It deserves its place in my top 13 Netflix shows to watch!

4. Orange Is The New Black
Who doesn’t love a good prison TV show right? I surely do.
A show about a Women’s Prison with a lot of fun and drama. It has a very catchy theme song as well.
I was gutted when it was the last episode and went to search for new prison TV shows but didn’t find one I liked as much as this one.
Also little celebrity crush in this show: Ruby Rose, entered the show in Season 3.
Very good show if you like watching Prison Life.

5. Gossip Girl
I watched this show so much when I was in high school I even got it on DVD!
The life of the prep school teens on Manhattan’s Upper East Side really spoke to me, I’ve always wanted to be like them and go to those fancy parties with all their pretty expensive clothes.
Most of the characters in the show are extremely wealthy but there are also a few normal people to counter the rich overload. A lot of high school teenage drama and as the title says, a lot of gossip.
I love watching all the glitter and glamour the show brings and of course, watching the hunky actors do their thing. Definitely, a recommendation if you want to watch a girly show.

6. Gilmore Girls
More Netflix shows to watch and another show mostly made for a female audience is Gilmore Girls.
Lorelai and Rory are the main characters and I think especially Lorelai, the mother is very funny. Rory is the typical A student which is fun to watch if you can relate with being an A student.
Rory and her mother have an amazing connection, it’s more like they are sisters or best friends than mother and daughter if you ask me.
Fun to watch if you want a girly, heartwarming TV show.

7. Stranger Things
A very exciting and scary show. There is a lot of Sci-Fi in this show so you must be able to handle it to be excited about the show. I love the surrealistic part of the show but you have to have an open mind for it. It’s about a group of friends when they are still children who discover something from out of this world, from another dimension.
Eleven is also a main character and she is a girl with some kind of superpowers. It’s exciting to see the mysteries they have to discover and the adventures they embark upon.
Also very special to see the actors grow older as the show progresses.

8. Dahmer
A show about a serial killer but highly entertaining. It’s not just a documentary (although I think those can be fun too), but it is really an exciting show to binge-watch when you want a bit of a shock.
The show is about Jeffrey Dahmer, a serial killer who is gay and lures his victims while he’s partying. He is rather good looking so it’s easy for him to get his victims to come home with him. Towards the end of the show, I kinda felt sympathy for Dahmer although he really is a bad guy! I wanted him to make some friends and get his life together…
But if you want to see what happened to him, watch this show!

9. Squid Game
A Korean show, the first Korean show I watched and it really caught my attention. I didn’t want to stop watching this show either. Very thrilling show and different from all the US shows because of the Korean language and habits.
I would recommend watching it with subtitles so that you can hear the Korean language in all its glory. It’s about a game to win a lot of money but the participants’ lives are at stake. The participants are drowning in debt so are very motivated to win the prize. Certainly a nerve-wracking show!

10. The Sandman
A great fantasy show about the King of Dreams, Morpheus or Dream who embarks on a journey across worlds to find what was stolen from him. Without his belongings, he has less power so he needs them to be able to do his job.
The show is very dark but I loved Morpheus (a very good-looking actor) and am a big fan of fantasy so I found it very good.

11. Money Heist
Also known as La Casa de Papel. I suggest watching the show in Spanish as it brings another dimension to it. I always want to watch a show in its original language because I think you always learn something from it and it’s fun to hear another language. Spanish is a beautiful language that I want to learn someday.
The show is about a big bank robbery with the Professor (El Profesor) as the leader. He assembles a team of experienced criminals to pull off the biggest heist ever. As the show progresses, you get to learn more about all the characters and I do think they have fun personalities.
A lot of fun and excitement if you like Spanish TV shows or crime shows.

12. Elite
Again a Spanish show on my list! Got to love the language.
Another show about privileged teens so it has a bit of similarities with Gossip Girl.
I can’t stop watching all the glitter and glamour that comes with the rich life of these beautiful Spanish teens. Like in Gossip Girl, there is also a family that is less fortunate to counter all the richness.
It’s a high school show with a lot of drama and mystery. If you liked Gossip Girl, you will also like Elite!

13. Friends
The one where it all began to end this list.
This show was the first show after my high school years that I started to watch in college. Friends is a comforting, fun TV show to watch over and over again.
I would love a group of friends like them! They are 6 thirty-year-old friends who live in apartments near each other and with each other so it’s very cozy in New York City. The show follows their personal and professional lives.
Hilarious TV show to watch when you need some good company.
Especially if you need a mood booster!
